Things to Do
Coast/Beach
If you are a looking for beaches you have come to the right place! Marbella boasts
27km of coastline which is divided into 24 beaches. The nearest beach is San
Pedro - 5km (10 minutes) from apartment – a blue flag beach.
There are numerous beach bars and restaurants.
Outdoor Activities
The superb climate makes the Costa del Sol absolutely ideal for enjoying
outdoor activities. Whatever your favourite outdoor activity, you are likely
to find it nearby. Wonderful walks, horse riding, tennis, paragliding, windsurfing,
sailing, diving and all kinds of water sports, to name but a few.
And deep
sea fishing expeditions.
Family Attractions
Keep the kids entertained with a wide variety of attractions
that are sure to appeal to them (and adults too!). There are theme parks, aqua
parks, nature parks, zoos, wildlife parks, marine centres, nature reserves,
adventure parks, and dolphin watching. Not to mention the fabulous beaches
and wonderful places to visit. You will find leisure areas, playgrounds and
colourful attractions on beaches and seaside promenades.
The Spanish are very family orientated, and it is normal
to see families enjoying a late meal out in the evening.
Shopping
The Costa del Sol is without a doubt a shopper’s paradise.
Whether you're looking for local crafts to take home, unusual antiques, or
the ultimate designer labels - you'll find it all here. Prices are generally
much lower than many other countries, in particular the UK.
Many local shops open from 9am to 2pm, close for a siesta break, then re-open
around 4-5pm till late. Big shopping centres are usually open all day.
Don’t forget to take photo identification such as your passport with
you, if you are paying by credit card.
In addition to the local supermarkets and large shopping centres, the local
flea market or mercadillo is a highly enjoyable way to pick
up all sorts of fantastic bargains. There is no shortage of them either with
a local market on somewhere in the Costa del Sol, every day of the week.
Eating Out
The Mediterranean diet is generally regarded as one of the healthiest in
the world. Ingredients such as olives, olive oil, garlic, tomatoes onions,
peppers, fish and seafood are popularly used.
One of the greatest pleasures of spending time in the Costa del Sol is enjoying
the great food on offer. You will find a fantastic choice of eating places,
with every type of international cuisine available. From beach bars to top
restaurants, the common theme is a high standard of cuisine. And prices are
generally very reasonable.
Golf
What could be better that staying next a championship golf course. Los
Arqueros is a golfers' paradise. It offers a championship 18 hole
course designed by Seve Ballesteros . The
variation in its holes and the magnificent mountains and sea views, is an
unforgettable experience. You will find a restaurant and bar, club house
with a pro-shop, driving range, chipping and putting green, indoor practice
net, video lessons, trolleys and buggies available.
Golf enthusiasts are spoilt with over 60 courses within a 60 mile radius!
No wonder the Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa del Golf.

Nightlife
When the sun goes down a whole new world emerges. Visitors are amazed by
the Andalucian culture and desire to dance until dawn. There are casinos, flamenco
shows, Salsa Discos, top shows, clubs and thousands of bars and terraces to
enjoy.
Skiing
The ski village of Sierra Nevada is only
2 hours drive away, through some of the most beautiful countryside Spain has
to offer. It is the most southerly ski resort in Europe , and was the venue
for the 1996 world ski championships.
